“Loving yourself isn’t vanity. It’s sanity.”

- ANDRE GIDE

Because YOU DESERVE TO FEEL AMAZING. Period.

Boudoir requires a level of vulnerability and openness, and this is where the magic happens.

As a woman myself, I am all too familiar with the societal expectations we feel to look a certain way, and I am no stranger to the inner voice of criticism when looking in the mirror. These sessions are to help you see yourself with kinder eyes and to fall in love with parts of yourself that you’ve criticized. Let’s kick negativity to the curb and celebrate all you’ve been through and all you’re capable of. Some women choose to do a boudoir session as a gift for a significant other, but they always leave the studio realizing this was more for them. This is truly the greatest self-love experience, and one I believe EVERY woman deserves.

Being in the studio and getting to celebrate and encourage women through every life stage is the biggest joy. I’ve helped women embrace their post-baby bodies, I’ve provided a confidence boost to women who felt their lowest after a divorce, I’ve shown women the beauty of their stretch marks or loose skin after a weight change. Some clients choose to do a session as a spicy gift for their partner, but many just do it for themselves.

Why Boudoir?

WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY

01 / 03

“I am an extremely modest person. I hate seeing myself naked and have always felt SO awkward in lingerie. It just wasn’t my style. I use the past tense because this experience COMPLETELY changed that. Claire is amazing to work with and is going to make you feel like the queen bombshell that you are. I am so thankful that I met her at a friends’ wedding. I even said then that I needed her positive affirmations recorded, so I could listen to them everyday. You. Will. Not. Regret. This.”

"I would have never done a boudoir session if a friend hadn't recommended Claire and my husband hadn't asked for it specifically (lol). After my shoot, I don't know why I was so hesitant. Claire and her makeup artist made me feel like the most beautiful thing to walk this earth, I didn't have to think about anything they walked me through the whole process. The session was not only a whole lot of fun, but I walked away feeling way more comfortable in my own skin. This was truly an experience for me and Claire is an absolutely incredible photographer."

I gave my husband the album during our anniversary trip. He was shocked and amazed! He cried and said he was so proud of me for doing it. He absolutely loved the way you captured me in a classic and beautiful way. I'm SO glad I did it. Thank you for making the whole process feel easy and comfortable, despite the nerves.

The experience – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE – THE EXPERIENCE –

I know firsthand how nerve-wracking it is to be in front of the camera and how intensely doubt can creep into our minds. And that's why I focus on making this experience as comfortable and easy as possible for my clients. From the beginning stages of selecting outfits to the final Reveal of your images, I am here to hold your hand and walk you through the entire process. I'll be your biggest cheerleader and ensure that you look your best at all times. Just don't mind me if I start jumping up and down with excitement... because that sometimes happens.

My absolute favorite part of the experience (and why I do this in the first place!) is watching women walk out of the studio with their head a little higher, their smile a little bigger, and a new confidence in their steps.

While this is an experience I believe every woman deserves to have at least once in their lifetime, trust me… you’re going to have a blast and will want to do it again! I have many repeat clients.

The investment

The experience begins with a session fee of $500 which includes:

  • A questionnaire to get to know you & custom-tailor this session to your desires
  • A prep guide walking you through the entire process, including outfit tips

  • A half day in the studio (3-4 hours)
  • 3 outfits with the option to add more
  • The best time you’ll ever have & a total confidence boost!

Digital images, albums, and wall art are a separate purchase. Most clients invest $2200+ on their boudoir experience. Pre-session payments plans are available, and we accept PayPal Credit.

About claire

  • I love Reese’s cups, buttery popcorn, and The Office.
  • I get super giddy when I see pretty lighting.
  • I’m extremely passionate about & involved in animal rescue.
  • I’m mama to my #rescuepups, Ladybug & Kirby, who are my entire world.
  • My photography journey began with working for Walt Disney World & the local newspaper covering UGA sports.
  • Photography is the only job I’ve had since college.
  • I am the biggest hype woman you’ll meet.

I have dealt with my own share of body image issues, and for years I avoided being in front of the camera. It wasn’t until I forced myself to “walk the walk” and book professional photoshoots that I learned firsthand what a powerfully transformative and therapeutic experience it can be when you find the right photographer to walk you through a session. And that’s exactly what I want to provide for you. I want you to leave your session feeling more capable than when you arrived. I want you to feel strong, empowered, and badass (because you are). And I want you to be reminded of that confidence every time you view the images from your session. Your photos will only become more precious and valuable with time.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the magic happen?

Your shoot will take place in my private studio in Athens, Georgia. It’s the cutest, coziest cottage built in 1900 with plaster walls and original hardwood floors. We will move between rooms and enjoy shooting in the entire space, giving us lots of different background options. The studio offers maximum privacy, and I only accept one shoot per day, so you will never run into other clients.

Do you ever travel or do sessions elsewhere?

I have done sessions in the comfort of people’s homes and in hotel rooms if clients are traveling to Atlanta from out of state. While I prefer my studio because of the numerous, curated backgrounds & lighting options I can provide to my clients, I am open to shooting elsewhere for an additional small fee. Please let me know if you have a different location in mind.

What do I wear?

Once you’re officially booked, I will send you a Guide on how to prepare for your session, including my favorite places to shop and pieces I recommend. This is YOUR session and can be tailored to your personal style and comfort level. Whether it’s a baggy sweater, an evening gown, or strappy lingerie, I want you to wear whatever you feel the most beautiful in. I do recommend that you choose at least one outfit that pushes you outside your comfort zone a little... I’ve found that’s when I can make the most magic happen & show you a side of yourself you may not have yet seen. And don’t worry, I am here to hold your hand throughout the entire process, and I will help you choose the perfect pieces!

How many outfits/looks do you photograph?

Sessions include 3 looks, with the option to add on more.

Do you supply outfits in a “Client Closet”?

While I do have a Client Closet with accessory pieces such as lacy robes, white sheets, scarves, etc. that we can absolutely play around with, I ask that my clients supply their own wardrobe for the session for hygienic reasons. Plus, this gives my clients an excuse to purchase pieces that they can wear in the future and remember the confidence they felt during our session. I will absolutely help guide you in the right direction with outfits for your session, and chances are you already have some amazing pieces in your closet that you just haven’t considered yet.

How much editing do you do?

I deliver fully polished photos that show how gorgeous you are. My rule of thumb for editing is that I will help remove temporary things, such as pimples and bruises. I don’t edit things that are permanent, because my goal for these sessions is that you will accept and appreciate ALL parts of you. Our stretch marks and scars and tattoos are a part of our story and how we became the badass queens that we are, so my policy is to leave them unless you ask otherwise. On that note, I don’t change body shape at all. Before the session, we will speak candidly about the things you LOVE about yourself and the things you’re more insecure about, and this will help me know how to best use posing and lighting to emphasize your favorite features. Once in the studio, I ask that you leave all negative self-talk at the door, as I strive to foster an environment of body acceptance & positivity.

When do sessions take place?

My boudoir sessions are held on weekdays, typically starting at 10am. The entire experience takes 3-4 hours, depending on if additional outfits are added on. Use this as an excuse to treat yourself to a “mental health day” from work where you will be pampered… and go ahead and plan an evening out since you’ll be all glammed up.

When do I schedule?

I recommend scheduling your shoot date at least 2 months prior to needing the finished product in hand. If you are unable to make a weekday work, I try to open up a Sunday once every couple months, and those dates fill up quickly and book even farther in advance. Really, it is never too early to get on my calendar, so DON’T WAIT. Reach out whenever you’re ready to say YES to yourself! By reaching out well in advance, you’re also able to take advantage of payment plans, spread out payments, and better prep for your session.

I’m nervous! I’ve never done anything like this before!

Every single client who walks through my studio door arrives nervous (that’s totally normal!), and every single time, those nerves fade within mere minutes. My top priority is making my clients feel comfortable and confident from start to finish. From the moment you book, I will be here to walk you through every step of the process, hold your hand, and hype you up. And at the session, I do not expect you to know what to do AT ALL. In fact, I love a clean slate. All I expect you to do is sit back and relax and trust me! Posing and directing are my JAM. You won’t even have time to think about what you’re doing, because you’ll be so focused on my instruction. As long as you trust me, we’re good to go! I promise it’s a FUN time and you won’t want it to end.

Will my images be shared online?

Only if you want them to be! Obviously I would LOVE to showcase your beauty on my site for other women to see (after all, seeing images of other women stepping into their confidence is probably what convinced YOU to take the leap). That being said, I totally understand and respect the desire to keep your images 100% private if you so choose. You don’t have to decide until AFTER you’ve seen the final photos. And I always ask before taking any behind-the-scenes content during your session. Your privacy & preferences are of utmost importance to me.

Do I have to pose nude?

Absolutely not! We ONLY do what you’re comfortable with and desire. These sessions are not about what you’re wearing (or not wearing), but about feeling empowered & confident. The level of risque is totally up to you! A lot of my clients request “implied nude” where we use a sheet or other material to strategically cover. Others arrive adamant that they don’t want any nude images and by the end are begging to take it all off because they feel so free and exhilarated by the experience. But trust me – we never cross your boundaries!

Do you photograph men or couples boudoir?

No. My specialty is in photographing women, and my studio is a women-only space.
